Dentist...
So the dentist went pretty well... Thank you ALL for your tips on dealing with Dentist Stress. I did a little spritz of Rescue Remedy when I got to the office and I have to say that Karene's trick of imagining slowly peeling a banana helped the most to keep my mind off of things.
I told the Dentist that my heart races when I get freezing so she froze me without Epinephrine and that helped me keep my stress level down. The freezing doesn't hold as long as with the Epi but I just told her when I could start to feel things and she'd freeze me again. I don't mind the dentist needles. I actually kind of like them. *laugh*
The weirdest part of the day was when I sat up after it was all over. All the freezing kind of rushed to my tongue (which wasn't frozen during the proceedure) and it became REALLY frozen. I started drooling a little. *laugh* I came home and immediately lay on some ice packs. I'm a little sore and really tired ... but so far I'm doing ok.
I think the hardest part about today was not swallowing when they were putting in the filling. Being told NOT to do something makes me hyper aware that I'm trying NOT to do it and I actually started to panic a little and felt like I was drowning. Thank goodness for the suction.

The night ... in photos.
So The Pussycat Cabaret was a giant success. THANK YOU VICTORIA for coming out and supporting our cause!!
We had so much fun! All the Vagina cast got dressed up...
in various states of pussycat like outfits.
Some of us went a little crazy. :)

The Cheesecakes performed.
This is my favorite photo from the night... 
Mistress MOAN did her monologue from The VM for the crowd.
It was an orgasmic performance.
Speaking of orgasms ... we had an orgasm contest with a few contestants from the crowd and needless to say it was hilarious.
We also auctioned off some volunteers for a drink and a dance.
We even auctioned off a public spanking...
Victoria's own Slut Revolver performed. 
In the end I think this guy had the most fun... he came with a vintage lawn chair and parked himself right up front.
A good time was had by all!!

My bum-bum...
A few of you were upset that I mentioned I had a rectal exam.
"Seriously, I know this blog is about your life but who tells the world they had a rectal exam? There are some things no one needs to know."
But you know what my friends?? It's not something we should keep to ourselves. Rectal exams, pap smears, breast exams and the like are all important to maintaining our health. Don't be ashamed of your bum-bum little ones. It needs just as much attention from the doctor as the rest of you.

Rectum? I damn near killed him...
Had a rectal exam today...Ahhh the joys of getting older. The doctor was really nice and when I shook his hand hello (ewwww) I noticed that he had really long finger nails. Hmmm. Really?? Is that a good idea? Then I went to the pharmacy to fill a prescription and noticed that the pharmacist had even longer fingernails and they were dirty. Really dude? Come on. Where is the personal hygiene people?? The pride in appearance??Anywhoo... I hurt my shoulder at rehearsal and now I can barely shoulder check when I'm driving or stand up straight. I'm hoping I can get in for a massage today. Eeek. I think I'm falling apart.

Because I'm not busy enough...
I have opened up a ETSY store to sell some of my vintage overflow.

My vagina...
So I haven't written much about what's been going on with The Vagina Monologues mostly because I want to keep the confidence of the woman I'm working with ... but what I can say is that it's been such an amazing experience thus far.
I am having the time of my life collaborating and being creative with such a large diverse group of woman. All the woman, including myself, have been working through blood, sweat and tears to find our best selves in each monologue as well as all pulling together to make the Pussycat Caberet and Silent Auction and the play itself be a knock out.
I really hope those of you in the area will purchase tickets and come out with your daughters, cousins, mothers, fathers and brothers. It's life changing. :)
And maybe next year you'll volunteer your time to be a part of the show.

A penny for your tulips...
My lovely friend Jayde gave me some tulips yesterday and Jodie suggested that I put a penny in the vase and it would keep the tulips from bowing. GUESS WHAT?? My tulips are straight as an arrow this morning. Holy crow!

What do you do when you have no time to do all your around the house DIY work?? Hire other people to work for you....Yup. Got my friendly neighborhood upholsterer to re-cover my dining room chairs. MAN ALIVE they look good.
What do you do when you can't buy an e-bay item online because of living in a different country? You get your friend Nicole (thanks Nicole) to buy it and you pay her back with treats... by the way... non-stick frypans are the way to go. This 1960's Kant Slide griddle sucks for pancakes. :(
What do you do when your friend Jeff cuts off all his dreads after 15 years? You upload your photos to blurb and you make him a book...
What do you do on Mondays with a mountain of deadlines in front of you? You put it all aside and you hang out with your husband instead ... 
I love Husband.

Is anyone watching the Salt N Pepa reality show?? Are they ever going to mention Pep's nose job? One episode she looks like a beautiful African American woman and the next show she looks like a barbie doll who can't breathe through her tiny nose holes. Anyone??

Thrifting makes me happy...
Went thrift store shopping today looking for props for the photoshoot for the new book. Didn't find anything I needed but I did score a lot of good stuff!! I've been searching and searching for a new 'bag around town' purse and found this bowling bag. I think it will work great!!
I also found some great records. I'm listening to The Headpins right now...
This is for those of you who are unfamiliar with The Headpins.
Then I found this AMAZING diner sign that I'm going to hang over Samantha... love it!!
I also found a purse that reminds me of a vintage Cadillac. :)
I found a giant stack of vintage bingo cards and resisted the urge to buy them all and only bought two. I'm quite proud of my restraint...
And the craziest heaviest chrome mixer!! If only it had the mixer-thingys... I think I may take this item back to VV. I went all over town trying to find beater-thingys that fit and no luck. I don't want a mixer without beaters... hmmmmm.
And lastly a vintage tin of Children's Meggezones.... so funny and not vegan!
Now to find the things I REALLY need...
