My parents came over to see the play ... boy-howdy do they ever make me happy!!

Sad...

Well ... it's all over. I've been immersed in vaginas for 100 days and it's hard to let it all go.
What a team Jayde (the director), Kimmie (the assistant director) and myself made. We worked so well together and I'm truly going to miss all our late night meetings and trying to figure out the best way to pull this play together.

Then there's the cast and the crew... how do I let all that vagina love go and move on??
Well... I'm not letting go because this experience of collaborating with these wonderful woman and getting to know them through their monologues. Watching them grow. Watching their confidence soar. Watching them on stage and feeling like a proud momma. I feel like I've created a new family and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I haven't been that sick in years. Thank god I'm doing better... the play is on Tues. Eeek! I thought I might not make it.


So not much to write about ... but I did get a wonderful package in the mail from Vegan Sweeties.

They sent me some Peanut Butter Cookies (yum) and my new favourite cookie Russian Tea Cakes! DOUBLE YUM! Soooo good. Check them out.

Where is JAYDE??

I had my first big stress dream last night about the play.

Nobody knew where Jayde the director was and she had all the costumes. The Stage Manager was calling the wrong cues. The Assistant Director was yelling at me to go front row center when I knew that all my cues were coming from stage left. The music was all wrong ... THE BAND on stage (huh? there is no band) took up most of the stage space. I tried to do my monologue but I forgot all my lines and I had to ad-lib through it and half the audience left the theater.

It was exhausting. I woke up this morning feeling like someone beat me up. Yeesh.

Gus is a terrier mix (likely schnauzer/poodle) and is 9 years young. He is in desperate need of a home, as his owner will be taking him to the SPCA at the end of the month due to the fact she has a new job with long hours and has recently developed asthma.

I doggy-sit Gus and have found him to be a happy energetic dog. He is great with all dogs. He's quite the social butterfly at the dog parks! He has never bothered my cat, but does show interest in my birds (they like to taunt dogs!). He is house trained and knows all basic commands and is a very quick learner.

He was allowed to rule the roost at his own home so he can display an attitude At times, Usually when going thru the front door he can be a bit nippy if you block him but if you tell him to sit and stay this works very well. He is on an anti seizure medication 1x/day it is a potassium bromide solution.

The few times I have witnessed the seizure it is very mild and he recovers quickly. He should avoid food and treats with a lot of salt due to the medication. His owner keeps him clipped short in the hot weather as she said the heat would sometimes trigger them. The cost of the medication is very reasonable and the owner may be willing to buy a years supply or cash value.

He is best suited to an adult only home and would be happy with moderate exercise and a good game of ball toss!
