A friend of mine reccomended this movie and I liked it. It's funny, but you might want to have some tissues handy towards the end. There are only a few scenes that mention vegetarians.

If you do rent it, you have to watch the deleted scenes in the bonus features on the DVD. The one with Elijah Wood and the dog are worth the price of the rental alone. Trust me.

P.S. Love your books. Thanks for being such an inspiration

I haven't seen the movie, but I'm currently reading the book, which is definitely worth checking out.

you know... it is one of the best books i have read in a long time. profound, it deals with unthinkable subjects... beautifully. and i know jonathan safran foer was involved in the making of the movie, but it does not do his book justice. the movie is one of those that is good on its own, but not when you have read the book. Read his short (short) story "A Primer on the Punctuation of Heart Disease" published in the New Yorker (Link at http://www.angelfire.com/realm/ashton379/ .. click the Word doc)... also in The Best American Nonrequired Reading 2003. brilliant.

It is one of the most amazing books that I have ever read. The movie is good--but it can't touch the book. The soundtrack, however, is fantastic!
