Uh oh

Uh oh
I feel like I've run out of things to talk about...

Maybe it's cause I'm tired. I've had 2 terrible nights sleeps ... 2 terrible night sleeps... I've had 2 terrible nights in a row of no sleep and now I feel like poop and can't make coherent sentences. Thank god for spell-check.

I'm seriously feeling blah. I must be pmsing... forgot to write down when my last period was and now I have NO idea when I'm going to get my period. Either that or I've suddenly become clinically depressed and paranoid and bloated all at once.

The bloating... fine... But what to you guys do to deal with the feelings of impending doom that loom over you before you have your period. I'm all for embracing my menses and loving my uterus and all that... but there has to be a way to make the paranoid, depressing, freaking out, part of the pms more enjoyable.

Any thoughts?

A hot bath works well too!

I try to sleep and convalesce as much as possible. Sometimes that is not possible, so I try to keep to myself as much as possible so as to shelter those around me from any swinging moods.

Luckily the 3-4 days post-Flo are my happiest and most productive of the month, so it seems like a pretty fair trade.

I found a blend of herbs - dong quai, black cohosh, wild yam, flase unicorn plus other stuff - & then I take more evening primrose oil. If that doesn't work I watch some weepy movie like "Now Voyager" & just cry.

anti-depressants and chocolate!
...and wine...
.....and buying new shoes...
But seriously, the best treatment I've found for pms blues (and I get'em BAD) is to curl up on the couch with the cat in my lap with a guilty pleasure like America's Next Top Model to watch or Project Catwalk to watch.

I was in the same place you are in 2 days ago. I didn't deal with it well, but those around me knew to steer clear.

I ate carbs, drank lots of water, and rode out the roller coaster with jpod by Douglas Coupland.

lavender oil helps my depression around that time of the month. I put some under my eyes and nose. I will also rub some on my wrists. Sometimes when its super bad I soak in a hot tub with some lavender oil.

I forgot to mark my period this month too, had no idea when it was supposed to happen. I only lost one night's sleep though. I just kept plodding along, putting one foot in front of the other. Had to watch though or I'd trip over my feet. Was real fun at work, sat down to read during downtime and started to nod off, had to go upstairs to the coffee shop to talk to someone to stay awake.

I never know when I'm gonna start my period. Or as my friend in high school use to say her aunt was coming to visit, I never did get that I don't know if there is a joke in there somewhere or if that's just what she said. Anyway I digress. So I never know when I'm gonna start, even though I write it down, I either don't know which calendar I wrote it on or I just forget to look, but all of a sudden I feel like I have the flu, my tummy gets upset I feel like I'm gonna throw up, sometimes I get a headache, (that's been better though, not so many headaches) And then before I know it I feel like something terrible is gonna happen to me or someone I love. I's awfull. My mom say's just like the rest of your body retains water during your period so does your head, and all that water squeezes your brain into thinking your husband is gonna leave you for a model he met at a stoplight. Anyway, I have no answers, but I feel for ya.
