Wow! You've been busy. I just caught up on all of your news. Even though it was shitty what happened to your shop window (the same thing happened to Jim on a Saturday night about 2 months ago), I'm amazed that the guy showed up to pay for it. In our instance, no one did. $$$
I still have my teddy from years ago. I got it at my very first Christmas when I was 8 months old. It looks more like Gerry's teddy. And, no, I don't think it would be odd to have some stuffed animals out on display. They're not just random toys, they're sentimental. If you're feeing weird about it, just put out a few and rotate them every couple of months.
As for the covers of the cookbooks, I have realtives in the UK, and I don't want to offend anyone reading this, but, they're "different". The same, but different. (And I'm sure they feel the same about us) This could seem very normal and appealing in the UK. We eat a lot of British candy in our house and even the candy wrappers seems weird and goofy to me. I know you're upset and that probably doesn't help, but I don't imagine they did it to offend you. They just want to make sure there are good sales. After all, isn't it what is on the inside that is most important? Is there at least a picture of you on the back cover maybe or inside? I don't think it looks that bad. It's certainly not the cover I'm used to, but it looks funky & retro. The colour is certainly eye catching and it will jump out from the shelf at passerbys. I don't like what they did to Vegan With A Vengeance at all!
