Flash back. So as most of you know my Mum died when I was only 10 years old.
Flash forward 30 years and a girlfriend of mine was in a coffee shop in Chemanius and discovered that the coffee shop owner used to live in Regina and knew my Mum and Dad from the theater my parents founded.
Flash forward to the end of the conversation and it turns out this woman has a cassette tape of an interview her friend did with my Mum for a university paper on the theater and she hung onto this cassette tape for 30 years thinking it might be something she should save.
Flash forward to today ... and I have the cassette in my hot little hands and am currently rewinding it waiting to hear my Mum's voice.
I love life sometimes ...

Wow, that's the kind of story that makes the hair on the back of my neck stand on end. I'm very happy for you!
That is so cool!!!!!!!
Such a great story.
How completely fabulous! My mom died not too long ago and I am lucky enough to have a cassette of a speech she gave in honour of my brother years ago, as well as a single home movie from when I was 8. These are two of my most valued possessions. I am so glad that you now have something like that to hold on to, and how beautifully the universe turned in your favour. :)
Congrats on that is such a story.. I lost my Dad at 13 and would give anything to hear his voice again...
I may have told you this before Sarah....my aunt had just became a nurse in Regina in the late '70s and she took care of your mom in the hospital when she was sick....she remembers her well b/c your mom was one of her first patients. My aunt is only 51 now, but she says she remembers it so well and that you and your brother were just two wide eye small kids. She also says that your mom was such a kind soul...
I am glad you have that cassette !
aw, that's so great!
