My friend Wendy does some work for the SPCA and there is a little dog named Biscuit who was surrendered today because the family was "moving" and didn't want to take her.
First. WTF? What is wrong with people?
Second. She needs a forever home right away. Anyone in Victoria looking for a lovely little dog? She's a 9 year old maltese/poodle cross.
Right now she's chilling at Wendy's house with her dog Suzy and they're getting along great so that means she's good with other dogs. According to Wendy, Biscuit also loves a nice warm lap to snuggle into.
If you are interested - the shelter number is: 250-388-7722
Let them know that you're interested in Biscuit.

I wish I lived in your area! I really don't know what is wrong with people, either. Dogs are a part of the family - not something you can dump when you don't feel like caring for them any longer.
Mary
I am so wishing I was in Victoria! That is really sad. I hope he finds a good home.
WTF is right. If we had to, we would live in the car with our dogs. And we have huge dogs. I sure hope someone makes Biscuit a part of their family soon.
Good for you Sarah- using your celebrity awesomeness for good! This is such an important point. It is really a downer that people sometimes suck so much.
