Holocaust Memorial Museum
I forgot to mention that I went to the Holocaust memorial museum when I was in DC and I recommend that everyone visit if they get the chance. The documentary at the end of the tour where survivors tell their stories of survival is incredible. Stay and watch it if you can...

There is one in Montreal, too, and it's definitely worth visiting if ever you are in the area. I used to live in the neighbourhood where it's located, and one day I decided to go and visit it - I had to go back again the next day, as there was too much to be seen in one evening if I didn't want to be rushing it.
