Tuna fish sandwiches, I had "Tuno" years ago and it made me want to puke, I think it's discontinued (surprise!). I can't wait until another alternative comes around, cause that was a dud.
Most of the recipes I missed when I went vegan, you've already veganized wonderfully!!! (buttertarts, shortbread cookies, cheesecake, lasagna...).
But the one thing I still miss is tempura! Nothing beats a good dish of vegetable tempura with veggie sushi. I only tried one vegan recipe for tempura, and while it was ok, it was more like breading on the vegetables than a crispy batter. I'd love to taste that crispy batter again! :-)
Cram of Mushroom soup. I have tried many a vegan version, but they have such lofty aspirations with the good quality mushrooms and fancy extras. I want a clean smooth and simple soup.
Baked goods from italian bakeries(I'm just not a good baker, vegan cookies are the best I can do). Real cheese!! (I swear I dream about cheese! I'm salivating as I type!) I absolutlely refuse to eat fake cheese, it's an affront to my senses, so I have to go without :(
For pulled pork have you had either of the BBQ sammiches at Soul Veg? They do it right.
I would kill for some oatmeal scotchies but aside from the Log House butterscotch chips that turned out not to be vegan after all, I've never heard of a vegan butterscotch chip.

Eclairs. Won't you make it happen?

There is the golden pond mushroom soup (can't remember the exact title) in LDV which rocks.
I miss pogos (the dough) and sugar pie, and those cauliflower in a white cheesy sauce.
Fried Eggs!
Spinach and feta quiche!
I really miss good corned beef hash and latkes.
Barbeque sandwiches (the pulled-pork variety). The sauce is easy; it's getting the texture of the pulled pork that's hard.
good sloppy joes ( i have gotten close....) and the pulled pork po-boy mentioned above. i am a Louisiana girl at heart!
Cannoli..

Poached Salmon
I used to make this great Chicken Continental dish that my husband and I found on the back of a bottle of Kikomns soy sauce. Man that was awesome.
But in sitting her typiing this response, he and I have said that I should try it with tofu. If I do, then I will definitely blog about it.

Sour cream!!!!! I have not found any true alternatives. I miss it even more than ice cream.
Jarlsberg cheese. My avocado sammiches just aren't the same without it.
