what about non-soy miso? mix it with a little tahini and sesame oil. or just use sea salt... good luck. :)
I can't have soy either. To substitute, I make Bryanna Clark Grogan's vegan Worchestshire sauce. I use it in any recipe that calls for soy. It does have molasses tho...since you can't have sugar, I wonder what it would taste like without the molasses? There are many other spices in it.
