dum dee dum dum...

I have a dentist appointment to do a filling tomorrow. Not looking forward to it AT ALL!

Anyone have any good relaxation tips for when someone is inside your mouth??

I had a bunch of dental work done a couple years ago, and I found that listening to music (iPod or walkman) helped, as did closing my eyes and not watching what the dentist was doing.

I had a ton of dental work last year. Breathe deeply through your nose and meditate (I pray, but that's my thing). It's very relaxing to think good thoughts in the direction of the people you love, as we don't often have time to do it otherwise. Good luck!

I like to text message random people on my contact list. Helps pass the time and makes you feel special!

Rescue Remedy, the homeopathic remedy Gelsemium, those are the best two I can think of. The music helps alot too.

i always close my eyes, and if there's a window open, try to focus on noise away from what's in your mouth, like the street noise or something. my dentist is downtown so there's lots of traffic noise, plus he plays the radio in his office, which is nice. good luck!

I close my eyes breathe deply through my nose and imagine that I am peeling a banana, very slowly pulling down one peel at a time, over and over again.
